The Fall of the Roman Empire
After centuries of holding back Islamic armies from overtaking the west, the city of Constantinople, the capital of the Roman Empire, is conquered, and the Roman Empire falls. “All through the day the Turks made a great slaughter of Christians through the city.” Thousands of civilians were raped and murdered, and twenty-five thousand were enslaved. (Matt. 5:11-12)
