Jesus' Trial before Caiaphas

Jesus is brought to trial before the corrupt high priest Caiaphas who demands to know if Jesus claims to be the rightful heir to throne of David. Jesus replies that yes, he is the promised Deliverer, and as such, on the Day of Judgment, he will preside as the judge at Caiaphas’ trial. Enraged, Caiaphas declares him guilty of treason against Rome and sends him to Pilate the Roman magistrate in charge of Israel. (Matt. 26:63-64; 27:1-2)
